America the Cowardly?
Stand up America!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Stop living in fear! Since when did Americans become such a bunch of PUSSIES*? Do we recognize ourselves in the mirror? Are we the progeny of the colonial revolutionary warriors who put dirty, torn shirts on their backs, picked up hoes (of the garden-variety) and rusty muskets that didn’t even work to throw off the British colonial yoke, or are we some cheap impostor you can buy on the sidewalks of Chinatown for a buck? Are we the children of the brave World War II pilots who would fly out on waves of aircraft knowing that they would probably never return to base, let alone back to their families? Did they die by the thousands at Normandy so that we could become a society of fat, lazy, uneducated PUSSIES who oppress the rest of the world to calm our fears of unnamed people according to the Secretary of Homeland Security’s "gut feelings?" Are we sending our boys to Iraq every day to die so we can URINATE OURSELVES WITH FRIGHT? I’m sick of it.
It is time for someone with a brain to start making sensible, and principle-based policy in this nation instead of the fear-mongering that is going on.
Declaration: The War on Terror is over. In fact, it never started. It is a fictional concept hatched in the scotch-soaked basements of half-baked neoconservative PUSSIES such as George W. Bush, Paul Wolfowitz and Dick Cheney whose idea of a good time is masturbating to videos of crude oil gushing out of festering holes in the desert sand. These, our so-called leaders, have instilled fear in our brains. WE MUST STOP FEARING A FICTIONAL ENEMY THAT DOESN’T EXIST, SO THAT WE DO NOT CREATE THEM FROM OUR OWN IMAGINATION LIKE WE ARE DOING NOW. BECAUSE IF WE DREAM IT, IT MAY BECOME REAL THROUGH THE CONSEQUENCES OF OUR REAL AND DASTARDLY ACTIONS. America’s so-called War on Terror has in fact killed, imprisoned, and tortured many thousands of people, most of whom have never attacked America. Their children will then decide to be terrorists when they are old enough to pick up a gun- it’s as simple as that. Even a neocon can understand that line of thinking because there is no nuance. It is monumentally unfair for us to overrun a country that did not attack us on the pretense that it may have weapons, may abet terrorists, then kill lots of its people, and then call anyone who shoots back at us terrorists. All so that we can use the American citizenry’s fear of the "T" word to set up a military presence to take away their most precious resource, ship it all the way around the horn of Africa, an entire continent starving and dying of AIDS, and then halfway across the world to feed our thirsty cars and other aspects of our decadent lifestyle.
Stand up America!!!!!!!! How DARE we allow our leaders to instill fear of terrorists in our hearts? FUCK the terrorists- they are not a threat to us. We are way too powerful for a mere 19 airplane hijackers backed by mullahs hiding in caves to shatter our confidence, aren’t we? I live in New York City, the only city in the country to experience terrorism (not once, but twice) at the hands of Al-Qaeda in 230 years of U.S. history; I didn’t move out, and I am not afraid. If I see a guy with a box-cutter trying to hijack a plane, I will strangle him blue, spit mucus on his face, and kick him repeatedly in the crotch until there is nothing left down there. I don’t care if he rips my body to shreds with that box-cutter. I will continue kicking his crotch until I can’t move my foot any more. In case it’s not yet clear to you, I am not scared of terrorists. If I see one trying to set a bomb on the New York subway, I am taking the fucker DOWN, I will turn him into a bloody pulp with my bare hands until the sweet red wine drips off of my wrists and streaks along the subway car floor, and whether I survive the event or not, whether he succeeds in blowing up the car or not, the man will have regretted crossing my path. That’s because I’m American, I walk tall, this is my home, you are a nothing, and God help me, I am not afraid of you! In fact, I would thank God profusely for giving me the opportunity to take down as many of the fuckers with me as possible. I relish the role of being a part of the front line. And I know I’m not alone!
The problem of terrorism, as statistically insignificant as it is, only exists at all because of our acts of cowardice playing out across America and around the world. Why are we so afraid of this statistically insignificant threat to our existence? Did the 3,000 lives lost on 9/11/01 scare us so much that it allowed our country to invade Iraq, a nation that never did anything to us? To torture people in secret prisons in foreign countries? To hold hundreds of prisoners without a trial in Guantanamo, Cuba? To spy on ourselves? To kill 4,000 of our own soldiers? The responsibility for the deaths of 4,000 US soldiers falls squarely on the doorstep of the White House. The sad answer is yes to all of the above. We are living Orwell’s 1984 over 20 years too late, only because Bush used his brief 9/11 mandate to declare an unending, unwinnable, fictional "war" that was bought wholesale by an unenlightened and scared public.
You might be thinking, tell that to the 9/11 victims. I’m not going to enter a debate about my credibility on the topic of how personal 9/11 was to me. I will just leave it by saying, some of my best friends and my sister were there, some of them were hurt badly, my colleague’s brother was a New York firefighter who lost his life in the towers, and my ex-boss lost one cousin at the Pentagon and one in the WTC; and that is not even everything.
It is time for policy to be made by someone who actually cares about what is right for the country. All we need to do is follow these simple steps, and the story is over. Terrorism will end overnight.
1) The War on Terror does not exist.
2) We take our troops out of Iraq, and focus the entire US military, intelligence, and law enforcement apparatus on a manhunt for Osama Bin Laden and his network. Remember him? The guy who murdered 3,000 Americans and got away scot-free because our "Department of Defense" is so pathetic and incompetent?
3) We build nuclear plants for our energy needs.
4) We leave the Middle East- we don’t need their oil anymore.
5) We save our firepower for the next time, if it ever happens, that anyone dare attack us again. And then we end those who would dare.
Americans are not only cowardly these days, fearful of the terrorists lurking around the cul-de-sac of their subdivision or eating an ice cream sundae at the local strip mall. They are also ignorant. Ask the average American why Al-Qaeda attacked us, and they may say "because of our freedom," assuming they don’t say, "um, what’s Ail-cay-duh?" That’s because it’s what George W. Bush and his PR staff have continued telling people since they came out of hiding on 9/18/01. We have been dumb enough to buy it. The truth is, Osama attacked us on 9/11 because he was pissed off that the United States protected Saudi Arabia from Saddam in 1991 instead of him. It’s that simple. That’s why he bombed the World Trade Center in 1993, a mere two years later, leading one to believe the plot was hatched right during the first Gulf War. That’s why he finished the job in 2001.
For the Bush-league retards out there, here is a simple flow chart detailing the beginning and end of terrorism against America. Since you don’t do nuance, I’m not using any complicated words, and stuff.
(1991) US pimp-slaps Saddam ——> Osama gets pissed off; he was the one who wanted to pimp-slap Saddam. ——->
(1993) Osama bombs WTC——-> Al-Qaeda approaches puberty.——–>
(2001) Al-Qaeda, fresh off puberty, destroys WTC——-> Bush allows Osama, friends, and sexual partners to get away after committing the biggest murder in US history.———>
(2003) Inexplicably, US once again pimp-slaps Saddam.———–> Iraqi civil war ensues, Iran is involved, emboldened now that its enemy is pimp-slapped.———>
(2008) US continues to be mired in Iraq’s civil war.————–> Someone with a brain decides to leave the Middle East, bring the troops home, and build nuclear power plants ———–> Terrorism ends. Al-Qaeda dies. Everyone happy. Nobody scared.
Is this that hard to do? No. Now, let’s get to work. Call and email every member of Congress, every Mayor, every State senator, and the White house. Give them the flow chart. And DON’T BE SCARED LIKE THEY WANT YOU TO BE. Stand up America! Don’t let Cheney hijack your courage! You’re better than that.
