Great article! We better realise that American's need to stop relying on manufacturing now, and concentrate on what we can do better than the rest of the world-- high tech, alternative energy research, more funding for education, mass transit system etc.

Hey bud - I looked up something today: only the House can start impeachment proceedings. Our democracy aparently does not allow for referendum. My solutions are quite easy: get rid of Obama, get a centrist lameduck in who does nothing, get rid of Barney Frank, Pelosi and Reid. Declare bankruptcy as a nation and restart fresh. Oh, and while we're at it, unleash our military might on Iran.

These ideas sound radical but with a family that ran from communism three times in 3 generations, I know exactly where we're heading now with this president. You should watch Indochine, it will be kinda like that eventually when the peasants carry you out of your house and burn you alive (here peasants = unions). That's why I love the second amendment: let's store up canned food at a couple years' supply and make sure you have a few automatic guns by your side.

We can't look to the past for lessons to solve these new problems we're facing now - those analogies/conclusions simply don't match up. It's a battle of nations on the political and philosophical and most likely religious grounds since from economic and anthropologic standpoints we are already too connected as peoples on this planet. And those "soft values" will most likely fuck us up in the ass if we don't take a strong stand now, at least from a political view to totally dismantle ideas springing from the philosophical or religious grounds. But can we trust or respect any politicians as they are made in this country?

Political movements are easier to manage on the masses as not all people are created equal in terms of brain power and/or willingness to work hard - we need to redirect the idea of compassion. And creating herds is ever so much easier (look at the Obama's movements, Mao's, Hitler's, Musolini's - did I spell the fascist's dude name correctly?). Democrazy is a double-edged sword, not everyone deserves it. The idea itself is bound to be abused.

Cheers -
